Ade Adesina RSA RGI
Born in Nigeria 1980, Ade Adesina graduated from Aberdeen’s Grey’s School of Art in 2012. His work is a visual commentary on how the human footprint affects our planet. A traditional printmaker, painter and sculptor, working mostly in woodcut, linocut, etching and oil, he combines his African cultural roots with British culture, producing work with the intention of making people reflect on the past, present and future.
Ade’s highly accomplished craftsmanship has won him many accolades and awards including: The Royal Scottish Academy New Contemporaries Award, Walter Scott Global Investment Award, The Royal Scottish Academy Residence 13, among others.
Adesina’s work is held in the collections of: The Royal Scottish Academy Collection, Robert Gordon University Art and Heritage Collection, Eton Collage Collection, Art in Healthcare, Edinburgh, Bietigheim Bissingem and Galerie Collection, plus many more.
